Hughes County Conservation District

Meetings

                 The Hughes County Conservation District meets on the 2nd Thursday of every month at 8:30 a.m. at the District office located in the U.S.D.A. Service Center Building at 419 East Highway, Holdenville, OK 74848.

                 Several Directors and staff are also quite active on other Boards or Councils which further conservation efforts and/or agricultural interests.  This allows them to draw input from other organizations on the natural resource concerns that the citizens of Hughes County face each year.  

                 In addition to the monthly District meeting, the Directors and staff also attend yearly meetings for the Oklahoma Association of Conservation Districts.   The District also hosts Locally Led Meetings.  The district invites the public, as well as members of Tribal Governments, Agencies and Organizations to attend.  These meetings keep the Directors informed of local natural resource issues, by giving the citizens a chance to voice their concerns. 

                 The HCCD Directors, Staff and NRCS Personnel conduct a monthly board meeting at the District office. 

                 These meetings are held on the 2nd Thursday of every month and are open to the public
